Join us on Aug 27 to help us put together Tinker Totes for the Asian Association of Utah!
Things to know about this volunteer opportunity:
- This opportunity is sponsored by Northrop Grumman. Northrop Grumman has funded 75 Tinker Totes. The Tinker Totes are part of the volunteer program run by the STEM Action Center.
- This is an assembly line style packing activity. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing! We will be inside an air-conditioned building. You will help pack Tinker Totes and prep some of the items before they can go into the Tinker Tote.
- The Tinker Totes we pack will go to support the Asian Association of Utah. We are going to donate all Tinker Totes packed during this event to the Asian Association of Utah. They will distribute the Tinker Totes to individuals as they see fit.
- We will be packing 75 Tinker Totes. We will be packing these Tinker Totes at the STEM Action Center's Innovation Hub. This is our community maker space in South Salt Lake.
- There is plenty of parking available and a Trax station in our parking lot. We have parking to the north of our building (in front of the Innovation Hub's doors) as well as a large UTA parking lot right next to our building. Park anywhere you can find a spot. We also have the Meadowbrook Trax station next to our building if you'd prefer to take public transport. (It is about a 3 minute walk from the Trax station to our doors.)
- Feel free to bring your refillable water bottle and any snacks you'd like. There will be no food or water bottles provided. We do have refillable water stations.
